Hispanic Heritage Month Presents: Planning and Preparing for Graduate School with Erim Gomez
Ever wonder what to do after graduating college? One option is to head to graduate school, and Dr. Erim Gomez wants to help prepare and encourage students in this undertaking. He and the Center for Latino(a) and Latin American Studies (CLLAS) invites everyone interested in pursuing a graduate degree to attend this informative presentation, "Planning and Preparing for Graduate School," Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 3 p.m. in Black Hall, room 150. This event is free and open to the public.
With an M.S. in biology and as a current Ph.D. student at Washington State University, Gomez has first-hand knowledge of what it takes to get into higher degree programs and how to succeed once accepted. By sharing his experiences with the application process, funding and acceptance, Gomez will help students get a better idea of what they can do now to prepare for their futures in graduate programs. If graduate school is a possibility, this is not a presentation to miss.
