Hispanic Heritage Month Presents: 'Mi Historia: A Latino's Journey into Academia'

Where do you come from? That's a question Ph.D. student Erim Gomez will answer during his presentation "Mi Historia: A Latino's Journey into Academia" Thursday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. in Science Building, room 147. CWU Provost Dr. Marilyn Levine will welcome and introduce Gomez. This event is free and open to the public.

As a Latino in the sciences, Gomez wants to share his experiences in upper degree programs, including his master's degree and his current studies as a Ph.D. candidate at Washington State University. Gomez no doubt has a wealth of knowledge, and anyone wanting to know more of the personal advantages and challenges in academia can get it straight from Gomez. A Q & A session will follow Gomez's presentation.
