Homecoming at the Museum
The CWU Museum of Culture and Environment presents "Homecoming at the Museum" Saturday, Oct. 13 from 10 a.m. to noon in the Dean Hall Lobby. This event is free and open to the public.
"Homecoming at the Museum" will feature exhibitions including "No Place Untouched by War: The Second World War and Central Washington College of Education" by Kevin Sodano and the premier of "Archaeologist Dig Central: Excavating the Campus," developed by CWU students Erin Chenvert and Karina Harig.
Along with the exhibitions, Shane Scott, Central Washington Anthropological Survey head archeologist, will be present to speak with visitors along with Dr. Patrick Lubinski, the archaeologist in charge of the Wenas Creek Mammoth excavations, who will be discussing mammoths in central Washington.
Dr. Mark Auslander, Museum of Culture and Environment director, will be giving tours of the exhibit "Particles on the Wall: Art, Poetry and Science at the Hanford Nuclear Site."
The CWU Museum of Culture & Environment is located on the first floor of Dean Hall, 1200 North D St., and is open to the public Wednesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Parking is free after 4:30 p.m. and on weekends.
