Cowiche Canyon Conservancy is hard at work on a new community trail system to connect people to the vanishing landscape. Learn with us as we take you on a journey over the surprisingly rugged terrain of conceptualizing, designing, surveying, mapping, and building a trail network that preserves the delicate Cowiche Canyon habitat, engages partners, and delivers on the promise of a wonderful outdoor experience for Yakima. Find out how you can get involved with the Cowiche Canyon "South Rim Trail System".

Thoralf "Ted" Gamlem is a retired veterinarian who enjoys outdoor activities in central Washington, including hiking, biking, and skiing. Ted is actively involved as a volunteer and board member of the CCC. The Conservancy's 30 miles of recreational trails occupy much of his outdoor time and technical outdoor skills, and reflect his deep commitment to sharing the outdoors with others.

Betsy Bloomfield has worked professionally in the natural resource conservation field for twenty years. She has served over the last four years as the Executive Director for the CCC. The quality of her leadership can be found in the renewed vitality and increased dedication to the serious pursuit of CCC's Land Trust responsibilities.
