July 13 | Rattlesnake Mountain Hike

Hike across one of our favorite stretches in the Greenway--Rattlesnake Mountain. Most hikers know the Ledges, but we'll explore the trail further and hike the 10.2-mile length of the mountain, which features incredible views out to the Snoqualmie Valley and Cascade Mountains. Stops along the way will be educational and fun, with a well-deserved BBQ at the end.

$25 per person

We'll meet at Snoqualmie Point Park (on the west end of Rattlesnake Mountain) in the morning and catch a shuttle up to Rattlesnake Lake (on the east side of the mountain). We'll hike up to the Rattlesnake Ledges, enjoy the view, and then continue to hike westward along the crest of the mountain. The trail from there has occasional climbs, but mostly just rolls up and down along the ridge, with several viewpoints out to the surrounding valley and mountains. We'll also have a variety of educational stops along the way to learn about local history and ecology. Once we arrive back at Snoqualmie Point Park (a total of 10.2 miles of hiking), we'll celebrate in true Greenway style--with a BBQ!

Be able to hike at least 10 miles - the trail has moderate climbs, with a total elevation gain of 2,520 feet, so while it is long it isn't extremely strenuous. Also, there will be plenty of stops to learn about the history and ecology of the area (as well as hydration breaks) and we always encourage everyone to hike at their own pace. It is all the best to see the great views!Comfortable hiking clothes and shoes - make sure to break in new shoes well before the hike. We'll supply you with a full list of what to pack (water, layers, snacks, etc...) once you register.

Once you are registered and paid, we will send you more detailed information about the trip. You can also check out our Frequently Asked Questions.
